Landcare is a community based movement to protect and restore our natural resources.
In the Southern Rivers region, “Care groups” have been working since the early 1990’s to care for our farms, bushland areas and coastal dunes and headlands. These groups are made up of volunteers who work toward solving natural resource degradation problems in their local area. There are currently over 200 active community groups working across the region.
There are
seven District Landcare Associations operating across the Southern Rivers CMA region. These associations represent and support their local Landcare groups in partnership with Southern Rivers CMA.
Landcare Groups are supported by Southern Rivers CMA staff and several local governments who run Bushcare programs. These groups are always eager to attract new volunteers. To find a Landcare group in your area use the postcode search below. Contact details for Landcare Community Support Officers are then provided.
